I just installed YaNC and I just had  a few questions. I do not see an option to autiomatically confirm someone when they sign up for my list. I do not want them to have to go through an extra step to be on my list. I do not want a email generated to them when they sign up. I just want them to click submit and be done with it. Second off when I send them an email, I want then to have a defualt message at the bottom that says click here to unsubscribe and I can not figure out how to do that. Thanks

YaNC allows only a double opt-in system (user will have to confirm their subscription)
Most countries will force you to do that anyway (in the EU anyway)

You can define that footer message in the template you use for your mailing (use the [UNSUBSCRIBE] tag, that will be replaced with an unsubscribe link)

First : your YANC is GREAT and REALY useful

but just one remark for future releases : please let final administrator able to configure in a contor panel all stuff they need to.
example : Subscribe / Unsubscribe email confirmation ... there is no way to prevent theses emails (?) ...

our problem is that we use Yanc as internal newslettre, so Users dont have the choice to subscribe or not. Sometimes we delete some users to send a mail and just after we add them again to the same news. why? because it's easyer to delete just 1 or 2 users than create a new list and feed it with 250 users.

please keep in mind that a good software (that match expectations of a maximum of users) need to be easily configurable.
I know the problem : with many configuration options all newbies will become Mad ... yes, it's true. but who care? Grin They will learn how to configure ...that's all Smiley

You can choose to send out those messages..
If you add a user through the backend, and set his useraccount to "Confirmed" he will not have to confirm his subscription.

Deleting a user will always send out a message though (it's not really hard to remove that feature from the code yourself..)

Dear Adam,

I've,of course, changed the subscribe/unsubscribe mail function in the Yanc code but this is not a solution. My post was not "help... I cant find a solution by myself" but was more oriented as a small recommendation for your future developments.

In my humble opinion (and with 15 years experienceof project management in development sector) : It's never a solution to hard code stuff when it's possible to dvelelop the same with a clean, configurable and persistant solution.

With all my considerations,
David.
