Confirming my subscription does not work. The "please confirm" e-mail is sent out, but when I click the link in the e-mail I just get this popup message: "no account found matching the passed hash". Tried it in both Gmail and Thunderbird, so I don't think it is the mail client that is screwing things up.

I just downloaded the trunk from the svn repository as well, but the problem persists.

Another small insignificant bug: The confirmation e-mail comes up with sender and sender e-mail from the Joomla config instead of the YaNC config.

Are you sure you got the latest version from the trunk?
Confirming is working for me on a local test installation.

Could you past the link that is being generated here?

Ok, one addition to this.

You will have to manually update the mambot in the current version, although the update for the mambot is working, it's updating it at the wrong location.

Copy the file /administrator/components/com_yanc/mambots/core.php to /mambots/yanc/core.php after the update.

Thats another thing: The automatic update thingy. Nice feature indeed, but I can't get it to work. Smiley

It uses FTP access to update files, but I have used the Joomla Installer to install 1.5 so the webserver user has the rights to the files. I even used Joomlaxplorer to make files writeable, but still the updater was unable to rename files.

Yeah, the permission problem is a real pain in the but.
don't forget to make the yanc directory writable as well, else ftp won't have permission to create the file.

on my servers, i'm running a script that will chown all files back to the user of the account. that will solve most problems.

Agreed. Can't wait until J!1.5 takes care of that for good!

But since we are still on 1.0: Why not use the webserver user to modify the files when the webserver user has the rights, and then the FTP user if the FTP user has the rights?
